Grandma MitMit Comes to Visit!

Grandma Domitrovich has gone from zero grandbabies to 2 in a matter of months.  While she has been down to visit my sister and her baby boy Brooks in Atlanta, she has yet to make it up here.  Well it was finally time and she hopped on a plane and came to visit!

It was great having her with us.  It was also a nice trip because we did not make it touristy and go a lot of places, it was all about family and spending time together.

The first night was nice because we got to go out to eat together and then just relax.  Sophia thought it was great that this nice person was here and she stayed all night!  Sophia was quite surprised that her Grandma was still here in the morning.

One of our goals while Grandma was visiting was to get away and go look for a new vehicle that will better accommodate our family.  While I loved my Audi, it unfortunately was not sized correctly for our family.  While the car seat did indeed fit, it could not fit all the other stuff that we needed it to (this child should travel with an entourage in order to carry all the stuff that is apparently needed to support her for a couple of hours away.

So we set Grandma up with instructions, crossed our fingers and headed out to go buy a new car!  It was quite tough and a little emotional to step away and not have her with us, but we knew she was in capable hands.  We checked in only once (okay, maybe twice) and found out that Grandma had taught her how to "blow raspberries" and clap. I had to break the news that she could do that previously.

Just some cuteness while Grandma was here!

Sophia discovered the Laptop and the "Mnamna" song, she LOVES it!

Hi!

Yeah, I am cute!

I love my Grandma!

Such a happy family

Saturday was "deep conditioning" morning.  To help keep her hair healthy Sophia has to have deep conditioning treatments once a month.  The most difficult part of this task is keeping her entertained for 10 minutes in the tub while the conditioner is working.  It was a fun time with everyone in the bathroom and Grandma running the camera. Sophia ate it up and it was an easy 10 minutes.

The morning Grandma left, she and Andrea took Sophia to her music class.  It was a great time and Grandma loved seeing Sophia interact with her mom and have fun!

It ended too soon, but we will see her again soon in Atlanta to celebrate Sophia's first birthday!
